1️⃣ shrug off
shrug 指「耸肩」这个动作，表示自己不知道，或不在乎，或无可奈何。所以，shrug sth off 还可以表示 to treat sth as if it is not important「对......毫不在乎，对......不屑一顾」，和 don\x26#39;t care，ignore，dismiss 有点接近。
She shrugged off all criticism and calmly went on with the project.
她对所有的批评意见都不屑一顾，仍然不动声色地继续实行自己的计划。
2️⃣ die-hard fans
这个形容词来自动词词组 die hard，表示习惯或观念「难以改掉，很难摆脱」。所以「积习难改」在英文中这样表达： Old habits die hard。因此，die-hard 用来形容 「顽固的；因循守旧的」。后来引申为对品牌、明星等「死忠的」，于是「死忠粉，铁杆粉」的英文为 die-hard fans。
3️⃣ take to sth
take 也是我们最熟悉的小词之一，但是 take to 是什么意思呢？这个词组在词典上的主要释义是「喜欢」和「养成某种习惯」。但是我们代入到句子中，发现意思好像对不上。文中的 take to X to complain实际指的是「在 X 上吐槽」，X 就是之前的 Twitter。

4️⃣ allow for sth
allow for sth 有多个意思，我们之前学过它可以表示「考虑到」，但在这里是指 to make sth possible「使有可能，允许」。
