据美国方面消息，美联储理事迈克尔·巴尔9月1日表示，如果通胀没有出现得到充分缓解的情况，就应该果断采取行动提高利率，而当前美国的通胀水平仍然过高。他表示，如果通货膨胀得不到缓解，他准备支持美联储加息。
美联储计划于9月中旬举行议息会议。
