The remaining three countries showed the opposite pattern,with men consistentlyrecording higher proportions thanwomen. Switzerlandhad the largest percentage ofmen (45%),significantly higher thanthe figure for females(35%). Japanrecorded the lowest figures for both genders, with 30% for men and 25% for women. Britainshowed a similar pattern, where 35% of men held higher education qualifications,5 percentage points higher thanthe corresponding figure for women.
