9月8日，世界斯诺克巡回赛官方宣布，罗尼-奥沙利文因医疗原因退出2026斯诺克国际锦标赛。
奥沙利文本应于9月17日（周四）在莱斯特参加资格赛，对阵路易-希斯科特。如今，约书亚-托蒙德将顶替他进入签表。
2026斯诺克国际锦标赛资格赛将于9月17‑19日进行；正赛将在南京举办，举办时间为10月31日至11月7日。
此前，奥沙利文就选择退出了斯诺克英国公开赛。
