据商务部欧洲司官网消息，9月11日下午，索鹏司长会见瑞典外交部外贸总司长梅兰德，就中瑞、中欧经贸关系进行交流。瑞典驻华大使欧思诚参加。
上述消息显示，索鹏已经担任商务部欧洲司司长。
索鹏长期在商务部门工作，曾任商务部欧洲司商务参赞（副司级）、商务部欧洲司二级巡视员、中国驻欧盟使团公使等职务。
此前担任商务部欧洲司司长的是余元堂。
