9月25日，菲律宾国家海事委员会公布所谓“新版海图”。9月29日，外交部发言人郭嘉昆表示，菲律宾发布中国南沙群岛相关岛礁的所谓“海图”，严重侵犯中国领土主权、严重违反联合国宪章及相关国际法，是非法的、无效的。
