Jennifer Lawrence 在宣传电影《Die My Love》时，和 Robert Pattinson 一起参加了 Vanity Fair 的测谎仪访谈。她公开表示自己很爱看卡戴珊家族的真人秀，并确认 Khloé 是她最喜欢的卡戴珊。接着她吐槽说：“Kourtney is more annoying than ever. She drives me nuts.”
（Kourtney 比以往任何时候都更烦人，她快把我逼疯了。）
原因是她觉得 Kourtney 做什么都要“发公告”，比如： “我以后不再穿成套的 outfits 了”， “我卧室里没有电视”…
而 Jennifer 觉得这些事直接做就行，没必要特意宣布。
Jennifer 事后通过 Kim Kardashian 要到了 Kourtney 的邮箱，发了一封道歉/解释邮件，大意是：“I just feel like I’m one of your sisters.”（我感觉自己就像你们家的姐妹一样）。
在《The Kardashians》第8季首播集中，Kourtney 和朋友 Simon Huck 聊到了这件事。她的反应很直接、带点火气，她说：
“好吧，她觉得自己是我姐妹之一？我要扇她个狗血淋头。请她过来，我会像对自家姐妹一样冲上去揍她。”（OK, she thinks she's one of my sisters? I'll slap the s*** out of her. Invite her over i'll go for it like she's my sister.）
她也承认邮件本身很 nice，重看视频后觉得其实没那么严重。但当时正好赶上她比较敏感的一周（节目在播、感觉大家在针对她），所以情绪更激烈。她当时还没回复那封邮件。
