10月14日，今日特斯拉在X平台宣布，Roadster活动将于美国15日晚上7:55开启直播。（北京时间16日上午8:55）马斯克转发表示“Timing is everything”。
此前，特斯拉以恶劣天气预报、活动只能在户外举行为由，将新款Roadster发布活动从10月1日推迟至15日。
据财联社报道，财富管理公司Gerber Kawasaki首席执行官认为，特斯拉可能会限量生产该跑车，且悬浮很可能只是个噱头。他预测，特斯拉很可能在Roadster进行限量尝试，只生产几百辆进行出售。
