鲐背之年的罗述德老人十四岁参加中国人民解放军，经历了辽沈战役、平津战役，从黑龙江到广西转战南北，为解放战争的胜利作出贡献。罗老在新中国成立辛勤工作多年离休后，自学书画，积极乐观地安享晚年生活。梅、兰、竹、菊被誉为植物“四君子”。上图是九十二岁的罗老2023年的画作《四君子》。
