不管是魏承谟还是魏东亭，都是清史中虚构的，与魏东亭对应的人物是曹雪芹的爷爷曹寅。
曾任江宁织造，康熙四下江南，都住在曹家。曹家因帝王煊赫一时，也因帝王没落抄家。
