Soft breezes breathe life into green wilds,

Plum rains wash the fragrant fields withgrace.

New floods swell the old ravines deep,

Last night’s mist mingleswith morning haze peep.

Drenched wild geese straggle in loosearray,

Rain-kissed blooms glow with fresher sway.

Glad for the bounteous year in sight,

I loose my robe and strum five strings withdelight.

好雨知时节，当春乃发生。

随风潜入夜，润物细无声。

Drizzle

My homeland's misty grass — ah, what a sight! —

Still near the five gates keeps its emeraldlight.
