伊朗最高国家安全委员会秘书雷扎伊当地时间9月6日晚表示，未来几天，伊朗将宣布霍尔木兹海峡区域的“禁区”——“禁区”将从美国海军封锁线起算，一直延伸至波斯湾内部分水域。任何进入“禁区”的船只都将被列入伊朗的制裁名单。
