MTV周三宣布，涅槃乐队将在2026年9月27日举行的VMAs颁奖礼上，获颁最高职业成就奖——Video Vanguard Award。
这一消息公布的时间，距离Kurt Cobain、Krist Novoselic和后来成为Foo Fighters主唱的Dave Grohl首次登上VMAs舞台，正好过去34年。
MTV在声明中称涅槃乐队是“改变了一切的乐队”。
