平陆运河9月16日建成通航，整个项目挖出的土石方达3.15亿立方米。这些土去了哪里？抬填造地、改良土壤，造出1.39万亩良田；坚硬的碎石层层垒砌，修筑船闸护坡；筛出优质黏土，化作坭兴陶烧制原料。挖出的土石方利用率达98%以上，大国工程把红利留在乡土之间。
