黄河古贤水利枢纽工程是国家“十四五”规划的102项重大工程之一，也是黄河水沙调控体系的重要组成部分和国家水网的重要工程。东临山西吉县，西倚我市宜川县，2024年7月古贤工程建设动员会后，工程建设随即全面驶入快车道，目前九项关键线路施工准备工程已全部开工。
