继此前将韩国国歌误播成朝鲜国歌后，在爱知·名古屋亚运会比赛现场，介绍参赛队伍时的国歌演奏环节直接被取消了。
据韩国媒体报道，9月19日，在女子手球项目韩国队对阵中国香港队的比赛中，国歌演奏环节被跳过，韩国国歌和中国国歌均未播放。

On Saturday, during the women's handball match between South Korea and Hong Kong, China, the national anthem sequence was skipped. Neither the South Korean national anthem nor the Chinese national anthem was played.

据悉，通常情况下，国际综合性体育赛事开始前，会在介绍参赛队伍时播放国歌。国际手球联合会（IHF）也规定，入场、列队、球队介绍和奏国歌等程序为赛前强制性流程。
In international multi-sport events, national anthems are typically performed during team introductions. The International Handball Federation (IHF) also stipulates pre-game procedures, including court entry, lineup formation, team introductions, and national anthem performances, in its regulations.
然而，在19日上午10时举行的这场比赛中，亚运会组委会仅在介绍场上球员后便直接开始了比赛。
国歌演奏环节在毫无预先说明的情况下突然取消，令双方队伍都感到困惑不已。韩国队主教练李启清（音）说：“这是我第一次在国际比赛中遇到这种情况。”
The sudden absence of the national anthem sequence, without prior explanation, left both teams' athletes visibly confused. South Korean coach Lee Gye-cheong stated, "This is the first time I've seen something like this at an international competition."
这似乎并非简单的失误。据报道，亚奥理事会已决定暂停所有项目的奏国歌环节，而不仅限于手球项目。
This was not a simple oversight. According to the Korea Handball Federation, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) had decided to temporarily suspend national anthem performances across all sports, not just handball.
9月18日，在男子曲棍球A组韩国队对阵孟加拉国队的赛前仪式上，韩国运动员面向本国国旗等待国歌奏响时，现场却播放了朝鲜国歌。鉴于此，亚奥理事会认为赛事运营流程亟须整顿，遂下达了这一指令。
组委会在当天上午收到指令，随后在未播放国歌的情况下进行了韩国队与中国香港队的比赛。此前一晚，组委会已就朝鲜国歌误播事件向韩国代表团当面致歉。
