本场比赛，严子怡第一投就投出了70米46的成绩，并且凭借着这一投的成绩，随后五投均免投，并最终摘金。
这是严子怡的首届亚运会，首届亚运便直接摘金，并且打破了亚运会纪录。
中国选手戴倩倩最终位列第六完赛。
