文物场所中古建筑多为木结构，耐火等级低，纸质、布艺类展品与装饰均属易燃。射灯等高温热源贴近木构件和展品，电气线路老化问题较多。严禁明火的要求与日常运维难以兼顾。文物不可再生，一旦起火损失无法挽回，扑救与避险的难度也更大。
