10月15日，有网络消息称，《大公报》报道李嘉诚已去世，引发关注。长江实业集团就此事回复称“绝无此事”。当天，《大公报》编辑部也发表声明，澄清从未发布过相关内容，并表示已向涉事账号发出律师函。
