北京时间9月18日，前NBA球员迈克尔-斯威特尼本周四在纽瓦克贝斯以色列医疗中心离世，终年43岁。
斯威特尼是2003年NBA选秀大会的首轮9号秀，NBA生涯先后效力纽约尼克斯与芝加哥公牛，总共出战过233场比赛，其中73场首发出战，在场均15.5分钟的出场时间里能贡献6.5分4.5篮板。
斯威特尼在退役后长期从事篮球相关工作，并加盟位于纽约曼哈顿的叶史瓦大学担任球队在NCAA三级联赛的助理教练。
