9月16日，中国驻美国大使馆隆重举办文物返还交接仪式，中方成功接收美国国土安全调查局“文化财产、艺术品与古物项目组”返还的58件文物艺术品和古生物化石。中国驻美谢锋大使表示，中美携手推进文物返还，对于国际社会具有积极的示范意义。
