当地时间10月12日清晨，美国联邦探员搜查众议员奥马尔位于华盛顿特区的住宅。14日美媒称，特朗普政府正搜集证据，寻求剥夺其公民身份并驱逐出境。奥马尔否认违法，特朗普称自己没有参与到该事件中。调查仍在进行之中。现年44岁的奥马尔是美国首位索马里裔国会议员。
