当地时间10月15日，保时捷Mission S在纽约全球首发。保时捷全球执行董事会主席骆明楷表示，“Mission S代表着一个定位高于911的中置发动机超级跑车平台——它并非一款孤立的稀世超跑，而是将以长期、灵活的产品形式加入我们的产品阵容。”据介绍，保时捷有意不在座舱中配备固定式中控屏或常设乘客显示屏，而是开发了一套支持MagSafe技术、可依需收纳的智能手机系统；用户的个人手机可在需要时作为导航或信息界面使用。
