连日来，受持续强降雨影响，闽江流域水位持续上涨。作为闽江干流上最大的防洪控制性枢纽工程，9月1日下午，福建水口水电站今年首次开闸泄洪。9月3日下午16时30分，福建水口水电站加大闸门开度，以此腾出防洪库容承接后续降雨来水。
