9月15日，据美国方面14日消息，芝加哥22岁说唱歌手米克奎尔·库珀遭枪击身亡。
有消息称，事发于当地时间13日凌晨，在一个加油站外，米克奎尔当时正坐在车内，两辆车驶近，车上数人下车后朝他开枪，米克奎尔胸部和肩部中弹。

美国方面有消息称，警方尚未确定枪手犯罪动机，也未公开任何嫌疑人身份。这起事件仍在调查中。
