提起“cook”这个单词，你可能会立马想到“烹、煮、烧”等食物加工方法：
不过，当别人提起“I'm cooked.”时，你会怎么理解？它可不是“我被煮熟”的意思哦！
“I'm cooked.”如何理解？
在英语口语中，I'm cooked实际上是在表达“我完蛋了”“我好疲惫”“我彻底没戏”的意思。

“Cook”的其他用法
▌Let sb cook
“让ta发挥”“不用打断ta，看看ta能整什么活”，不论对方是否真的在“掌勺”，都可以理解为给予对方时间和空间去施展。

▌Cook the books
职场俚语，“books”特指财务账本，专指“为了偷税、掩盖亏损等目的，篡改财务数据”，是行业场景里的“黑话”。

▌The deal is cooked
Cooked形容事物，有种“大局已定”“木已沉舟”之感，强调事情定好了，无法更改。
