10月26日，据报道，微软拟向美国、加拿大、印度和英国部分团队约6万名员工提供自愿离职方案，符合条件者最高为内部职级70级。员工可获得经济补偿及职业规划支持，并须在12月初前决定是否接受，预计年底离职。此次方案旨在帮助公司调整人员规模、控制成本，部分销售、工程及企业职能团队不在适用范围内。
