当地时间28日，在西班牙相撞列车上的一名中国公民表示，与其同行的3名中国公民中有人受轻伤，车上乘客正被疏散。
28日，西班牙托莱多附近发生两列高速铁路列车相撞事故，目前事故已造成至少46人死亡。有消息人士说，事故可能是人为失误造成，控制中心的操作人员向后一列列车发出了允许继续行驶的指令。据悉，马德里市政府取消了原定于当天举行的所有活动。
